Dual will do more damage if you are heavy dex invested, and if your build focuses on Aux effects like bleed or poison. 2hand will do more damage if you invest in str; as it multiplies your str by 1.5. you can change you katana to heavy making it scale with str, and It reduces the required STR to wield the weapon by 50% and increases the damage dealt by a small amount. Typically, though, if you have the ability to wield it in one hand, it is likely to be the superior option. Well I've been trying it out on a sword i got, it seems to be doing a few more points of damage even though my strength is above the dual wield gets more hits, so overall it attacks "faster" / does more damage. It's esp good for status effects like bleed since dual wield essentially stacks it as twice the speed than single wield / two-handing. Also two-handing only increases your strength stat, so weapons that don't scale with strength don't get much benefit from two-handing. gunsharp. • 2 yr. ago. Yeah, the damage is roughly 70% better per swing and the attack speed is pretty similar (slightly longer animation). In my play style I don't block though only dodge so dual wielding fits my style. Also jumping L1s into more L1s pretty much kills most normal mobs. I liked my 2H great sword but needed three swings to Giant-Crusher is a Colossal Weapon in Elden Ring. The Giant-Crusher scales primarily with Strength and is a good Weapon for dealing great physical damage, but this heavy weapon also requires great Strength to wield. A hammer made from a boulder, used in the War against the Giants. One of the heftiest weapons in the entire Lands Between. Players must explore and fight their way through the vast open-world to unite all the shards, restore the Elden Ring, and become Elden Lord. So yeah, RoB in right hand Uchi in left. So, switch to 2-handing your Uchi by holding Y (triangle) and hitting your left bumper (L1). That will make you 2hand your Uchi. Then use Seppuku. Then hold Y (triangle) and hit the right bumper (r1) and that will take out RoB. Bam. Dual wielding is typically for those that exclusively roll. L2 ashes only utilizes your primary (RH) weapon. Don't know about the no skill question. I ended up respecing to a strength build and Jesus this thing hits so hard and absolutely destroys everything. Bastard sword in my rh, claymore in my left. eMRIPW.
