They said 1400Liras in the authorized service for the whole pump. I could find a Bosch brand equivalent motor for 200 Liras (only its filter was longer) and put it on. The vehicle worked without any problems. But after 8months later, yesterday, the car stopped in traffic while driving on a slope in the rain.
Had a very similar problem with my 1.4 206, whereby it would just cut out when driving (mainly when changing down a gear whilst slowing down). Did some research and discovered that Peugeot used some complicated phase detection system to determine the correct firing of the cylinders, as opposed to using a cam sensor like everyone else.
its possible but without using a mityvac on the system its hard to tell if split. once this is all checked the p0087 is quite a common code for a defective high pressure pump. but thorough diag and data is really needed. so lucky to work on french!!!!! Re: 206 1.4 hdi fuel pressure prob HELP!

I have a 1999 206 gti, that wont start. It will turn over but wont fire up. It has new spark plugs and coilpack, so they were immediately ruled out. The problem seems to lie with the fuel pump. I have checked the fuel pump relay under the ecu and this is fine. I have also checked voltage to the pump, fine also.
Just an update. I finally got around to replacing the injectors on my Son's 206 and the fault still remains. I still get fault codes P0210, P0202 & P0420 on the code reader. I tested each injector before replacement and they all read around 16 ohms on the multimeter, whereas a couple of the one's I removed where around 25 ohms.
