I know nothing about the Meopta's but have heard good things on here. Never even heard of a VX freedom. what I like to do is just look for reviews or comparisons on line. N. Tx. RS2 with a 38mm obj is lighter than the Optika5 4-20x44, of course, it is. To me, the added weight, features, and quality are with the extra ounces. I have the Optika5 4-20x50 RD and love it. Internal Adjustment range- The 3-18s both have 26 mils of elevation travel, the 4.5-27 has 24 mils of travel and the 5-30 has 32 mils of travel. Parallax- The 3-18s both have 10 yd minimum parallax, the 4.5-27 and 5-30 have 25 yd minimum. The 2.5-15x44 has more bulk and weight, while the 1-6x24 is a bit short on magnification and sacrifices a lot of light-gathering with the small objective lens. I like the compact length and sweet-spot magnification range of the 2-10x42 for the woods. I don’t think you can beat it for the money.
