Ford Focus Club ; Fuel Filter1.8 Petrol Mk2.5 Fuel Filter1.8 Petrol Mk2.5. By Invisible Man, September 17, 2014 in Ford Focus Club Gearbox Problem.
Hi all, My Focus started to misbehave today out of nowhere, and Iām asking in case anyone has any bright ideas. I have a 2006 Focus with a Facelift cluster and retrofitted cruise control (both mods done by me), after my original cluster died because of the classic pre-facelift problem.
I have a 60 plate Mk2 facelift 1.6 petrol focus and bought it and the power steering pump was knackered so got brand new power steering pump and hose put on a month ago, then just short of 2 weeks ago one of the O rings had broke so had to get new O rings and get them fitted and it has just started whining again when turning the steering wheel
Leak in a fuel line or filter housing, is the most likely culprit. All the lines up to the main pump are under some suction almost all the time, so air will be drawn in, no fuel will leak out. Once the 1.8TDCI gets any air into its fuel system, it is a pig to start. 2.
Ford Focus 1.8 petrol erratic idle - Snakey. My 1.8 Focus had an erratic idle and it was simply one of the HT leads wasnt firmly seated. I've noticed these HT leads seem to gradually work their way loose after a while despite being firmly seated originally. It cured the problem of the occasional stall as well.
Name: Dave. Ford Model: Focus Mk2. Ford Year: 2007. UK/Ireland Location: London. Posted December 22, 2019. Hi all - please advise if there's a list of fuse connection. I'd like to be able to disconnect the fuse to the 6000 radio/CD as it's playing up. thanks. 1.
I have still found little hard data, but some suggestion that a petrol engine needs more air & fuel than that to maintain idle, perhaps up to 3:1 turndown, or 33%, or 33kPa. And that would stack up with positive fuel trims that increase (presumably) the amount of fuel injected, above the baseline pcm mapping for the given MAP reading & RPM.
Hi guys, just in need of a little advice. I have a 2007 Focus 1.8 MK2 that is getting through a fair bit of oil (about 1L per month doing a small amount of miles). After some reading I read this could be the PCV valve, I have bought the part but not got around to fitting yet. According to YouTube
